About Volunteering
We offer various opportunities, including helping with daily care routines, assisting with dog training, participating in “Pack Walks,” and supporting special events. After submitting your application, you’ll be invited to attend an orientation session where you’ll learn more about our procedures, meet our team, and receive training for your chosen volunteer role.
Your time and skills are invaluable to us, and we’re excited to welcome dedicated individuals who share our passion for helping dogs in need.
Daily Care and Feeding
Volunteers assist with the daily care of the dogs, including feeding, administering medications, and ensuring each dog’s living area is clean and comfortable. This routine is essential for maintaining the health and well-being of the dogs at the sanctuary.
Dog Training and Socialization
Help with training sessions and socialization activities to prepare the dogs for adoption. Volunteers work on basic obedience training and provide enrichment activities to improve the dogs’ behavior and social skills.
Organizing and Leading Pack Walks
Lead and participate in “Pack Walks,” giving the dogs exercise and the opportunity to socialize with each other in a safe, controlled environment. This duty also helps in developing the dogs’ socialization and leash skills.
Supporting Special Events and Fundraisers
Assist with planning and executing special events, fundraisers, and adoption drives. Volunteers help with event setup, promotion, and managing activities to raise awareness and support for the sanctuary’s mission.
